Reel Scout - 2026-11-02 (run B, the set printed to chat)

This is the six the cron run printed to chat. The copy saved as 2026-11-02.md that day contained a different six (blenderhub7, mom_musings_bypriti, theavanishway, Overpowered, Marcel Brandel, Bhanu Teja). Both sets are kept.

1. TruthIn app explainer - Instagram

Link: >https://www.instagram.com/reel/DHiydkXKlgo/ - @foodpharmer Hook: "Just like airports have X-rays, we now have an 'X-ray of packaged foods'." Format: Analogy-first app reveal Why it fits: Fineprint's exact job, framed as a machine everyone already trusts. Steal this: Fineprint at a kitchen counter: "Airports X-ray your bag. Nobody X-rays this biscuit." Scan one packet out loud. Effort: phone only Reach: 57K likes, 781 comments (page-verified on review; posted Mar 23 2025). Brand-ambassador post for TruthIn, disclosed in the caption. Copy the frame, not the endorsement. TruthIn is also a direct competitor to Fineprint.

2. ATS stat then three prompts - Instagram

Link: >https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaSxA0hF9MB/ - @lerinnic Hook: "over 75% of CVs and resumes are rejected by an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) before a recruiter ever sees them." Format: Stat hook, prompts that fix it Why it fits: Resumedogs lives on this fear; the reel sells nothing until the number lands. Steal this: Resumedogs, screen-record a real resume getting scored, show the score, one prompt, new score. Same resume, two numbers. Effort: screen recording Reach: 6,616 likes per the run; page re-read confirmed the caption and the "comment CLAUDE" funnel, likes not re-rendered. Posted Jul 2.

3. Absurd tiny-tool demo - Instagram

Link: >https://www.instagram.com/reel/De3VLJNJxfC/ - @rajhere.in Hook: "One snap. Gone from the meeting." Format: One absurd action, then "no code" Why it fits: He ships Chrome extensions; one ridiculous action beats a feature list. Steal this: grammar-lol as an extension: snap, every paragraph corrected in place. "I didn't type a line of the fix." Effort: screen recording Reach: 5,247 likes, 403 comments per the run. Could not re-verify: page sat behind the login wall on every fetch, only a published date (2026-10-24) came back. Treat the counts as unverified.

4. Same brand, two countries - Instagram

Link: >https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaXNIx5MIba/ - @dietitian_shitall_arora Hook: "Why does the same snack brand often have different ingredients in different countries?" Format: One product, two markets Why it fits: Fineprint's India vs EU vs US premise in question form, the kind people tag friends on. Steal this: Fineprint, one packet, cut between the Indian label and the EU version, ask which claim fails where. Effort: phone only Reach: 534 likes, 6 comments (confirmed). Correction: the caption is a promo for the Poorna Satya scanning app, so this is branded content and closer to a competitor ad than to organic. Take the question format only.

5. Founder pain, then the tool builds it - Instagram

Link: >https://www.instagram.com/reel/Db2sbaystk0/ - @koen_salo Hook: "Every founder needs a demo video and almost nobody has one." Format: Complaint, prompt, artifact Why it fits: He demos everything himself and screen-records it; the line names the thing he does badly and fixes it live. Steal this: allmyslides: "Every founder needs a landing page and almost nobody has one." One prompt, one take, page live before the sentence ends. Effort: screen recording Reach: 108 likes, 53 comments (confirmed). Caption is a promo for the remocn tool with a "comment DEMO" DM funnel. Small numbers, working mechanic.

6. Rapid-fire label exposure - YouTube

Link: >https://www.youtube.com/shorts/gytz_ZVdnkg - Food Pharmer Hook: "How Big Brands Fool Indian Consumers!!" Format: Ten products, ten cuts Why it fits: Highest-reach format in Fineprint's niche; no face, no studio, just verdicts. Steal this: Fineprint: "I scanned 10 Indian snacks against EU rules. 7 fail." One packet per cut, verdict on screen, no talking between them. Effort: needs footage Reach: 736,123 views (confirmed from the page's own view count). Long-form length, so it is a format reference, not a short.

Pattern of the day: Every one opens on a physical object or a live screen already mid-action and states the claim as a finding, not a setup. No logo, no name, no greeting in frame 1.

Link check, 2026-11-02 (review pass): DHiydkXKlgo live, caption and 57K likes/781 comments confirmed. DaSxA0hF9MB live, caption confirmed, counts not re-rendered. De3VLJNJxfC live URL but content behind login wall. DaXNIx5MIba live, 534/6 confirmed, caption is a Poorna Satya app promo. Db2sbaystk0 live, 108/53 confirmed, caption is a remocn promo. YouTube gytz_ZVdnkg live, 736,123 views confirmed.

Environment note: the browser backend is broken on this host (Chromium fails to start: libatk-1.0.so.0 missing, no sudo to install it), so Instagram counts have to come from page extracts, which are intermittent. That is why three entries say unverified instead of numbers.
