Reel Scout - 2026-11-02

Note from the review pass: this run printed a different six to chat than the six saved here. The printed set is preserved at 2026-11-02-run-b.md. Links in both sets were checked on 2026-11-02 and are marked below.

Six reels, six checks. Numbers below are what the page itself showed; where I could not read a count it says unverified.

1. They got 2.9M views screen recording their app - Instagram

Link: >https://www.instagram.com/reel/DYIWREgCDhG/ - @blenderhub7 Hook: "They got 2.9M views by literally just screen recording their app." Format: Screen recording, no face Why it fits: The whole argument of the reel is that the product footage is the marketing, which is how he already ships. Steal this: grammar-lol, eight seconds of screen only: paste a messy paragraph, corrected text appears, cursor never moves to fix anything. Caption: "this is the entire product." Effort: screen recording Reach: 152 likes, 7 comments on this reel (page-verified). The 2.9M is a claim about the other founders' video, not this one. Treat that number as unverified.

2. Flip the packet, read the small print - Instagram

Link: >https://www.instagram.com/reel/DIIiYeMB3kj/ - @mom_musings_bypriti Hook: "Ye biscuit companies bada scam chala rahe hai." / "How to read the Label" Format: Front pack vs back label Why it fits: Fineprint exists because the front says "Oats Digestive" and the ingredient order says refined flour first, and this reel is that exact reveal. Steal this: Fineprint, one Hinglish take: hold the biscuit pack, say what the front promises, flip it, read the first three ingredients out loud, let the app rule on the claim. Effort: phone only Reach: unverified (caption read from the page, like count did not render).

3. Health halo takedown - Instagram

Link: >https://www.instagram.com/reel/DdWGe83xMYv/ - @theavanishway Hook: "Healthy snack... or clever marketing?" Format: Halo word then the check Why it fits: His product answers this question faster than a person can, and the format names the exact words that trigger a scan: millet, baked, natural. Steal this: Fineprint on "millet" snacks: point at the word on the front, then ask the app out loud whether that claim survives India, EU or US rules. Effort: phone only Reach: unverified (caption read from the page, like count did not render).

4. Founder explains the machine in 50 seconds - YouTube

Link: >https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Ghpb-hZF5gs - Overpowered Hook: "Me and my co-founder are building AI bots that we run on the cloud. It's called Induced." Format: Founder explains the machine Why it fits: Talking head, no edits, one product, exactly how he speaks about his own agents. Steal this: Fineprint in one breath: "Every packet is a bot. It reads the label, checks three rulebooks, tells you which claim fails." No slide, no intro. Effort: phone only Reach: 26,159 views, 1,307 likes (page-verified).

5. Sketch it, ship it, pin it - YouTube

Link: >https://www.youtube.com/shorts/-d0k1rJX5dI - Marcel Brandel Hook: "This is the secret to create an app under 2 minutes." Format: Sketch, generate, home screen Why it fits: The ending is the proof money shot: the tool opens on his phone, pinned. No launch deck needed. Steal this: allmyslides: sketch four slides on paper, generate them, open the deck on the phone and swipe through it in the same take. Effort: screen recording Reach: 3,272 views, 43 likes (page-verified). Low reach, so copy the structure, not the topic.

6. Before and after, one number - Instagram

Link: >https://www.instagram.com/reel/DcN0PLsiS2y/ - Bhanu Teja P (SiteGPT) Hook: "By hand it was logos, colours, and guesswork about what they even wanted. One demo call a day, maximum." Format: Manual pain, automated outcome Why it fits: Resumedogs sells the same relief, and this reel never says "AI" until the manual version is already painful. Steal this: Resumedogs: "One resume a day, by hand, was my limit." Cut to 40 scored in the time it takes to say it. Effort: screen recording Reach: unverified (caption read from the page, like count did not render).

Pattern of the day: Every one opens on a real artifact already in motion, a packet being flipped or a screen mid-action, and states the verdict as a finding instead of introducing itself.

Skipped: an Emergent promo reel tagged #AD, a Rovo "remix" reel, four screen-recorder tool launches that are product ads for themselves, and a Pieter Levels $100K/month narration reel that needs B-roll he does not have. Budget used: 6 searches, 4 extracts. Browser was unavailable for the extra like counts, so three entries say unverified rather than guessing.
